Join Certified GOLDEN Artist Educator Merryn Trevethan in this jam-packed hands on introduction to acrylic paints and mediums. Discover the different effects possible with a wide range of GOLDEN paints, Gels, Pastes and Grounds. Play with the beautiful paints from GOLDEN including Fluids,Heavy Body and High Flow Acrylics on a range of on prepared textured grounds like Crackle Paste and Light Molding Paste. Learn about the possibilities of changing the viscosity of your paints by creating washes, glazes as well as how to create thick textures with Pastes and Gels. The possibilities are endless. This workshop is suitable for everyone from complete beginners to artists who want to know more about innovative ways to use acrylics.

About Merryn Trevethan
Merryn Trevethan is an artist born in Melbourne, Australia and currently based in Singapore. She works across a range of mediums from large-scale wall works and public art to painting, drawing, artist books and sculpture. Trevethan received a Masters of Fine Art from Monash University, Australia in 2005. In 2015 and 2016 she was commissioned by Facebook to create murals for their Singapore offices. She was awarded first prize for DRIVE -Public Art Prize, Gillman Barracks, Singapore (2015).Recent solo exhibitions include Ruin Nation (2018) and Provable Falsehoods (2017) at Fox Galleries, Melbourne; The Party’s Over (2016) at Australian High Commission, Singapore. Group exhibitions include This Wild Song, Town Hall Gallery, Melbourne (2018); Abstraction 2018, Five Walls Projects,Melbourne and Apertures, Yeo Workshop, Singapore (2017). She was a 2018 resident at Sam and Adele Golden Foundation Residency Program in New York. Where she spent a month exploring the possibilities of acrylics and deepening her technical knowledge of all things acrylic. She is a past residence at PointB Worklodge, New York (2011), Red Gate International Artist Residency, China (2009) and NPE Print residency,Singapore (2018).
Trevethan has been a Certified GOLDEN Art Educator for nearly 10 years. She teaches regularly at The Art Room, Melbourne. In Singapore, she works with local organization Art Outreach to deliver a range of educational programs for children and families. Curatorial projects include This Wild Song x Singapore (2018) at Australian High Commission for International Women’s Day 2018.
Following its successful transition into a global brand since its last fair in Sweden (2018), the Tatinis Art Show returns to its inceptive grounds in Singapore this year under the theme Hope; Peace; Love at the F1 Pit Building’s Paddock Club 6 from the 24th to the 26th of May. In tandem with its mission to bring affordable art to every home, the upcoming art fair promises a constellation of over 500 local and international artworks from galleries and by individual artists, including several artists from Sweden and Finland.
