‘Hatath Ak Monche’, directed by Koushik Datta is a story of an antisocial gang. They are not inborn criminal. They are artistes but due to their family and financial crisis, they are forced to opt for the darker world. One night, they take shelter at an empty theatre hall. They find Tagore’s poem ‘DebotarGrash’ and they decide to enact it. This influences them and they undergo a transformation. They decide to return to their earlier better life – but by this time police arrives. Can they make it? Will our society accept them back?
